Brain Vomit #20: Keep up

Keeping up with the times doesn’t mean forget everything you already know. Keeping up with the times doesn’t really mean sharpening your skills either. In my optionion keeping up with the times means learning what’s happening so you can evolve with the times. So you don’t become obsolete. Before COVID i went to CAMX, a big composites manufacturing expo, there I saw all the latest equipment and new technologies for the trade. There’s a lot of new machines that will replace ½ of your staff, also new ways of working with composites that can’t be automated and will require clever workers to come up with ingenious ways to solve new problems. A better way of working exists. And those who kept up with the times will have the biggest advantage.
